I am inspired by my connection to the ocean.  I am a Native California fortunate to live near enough to the coast most of my life.  Looking at tide pools in the rocks at Bean Hollow. Beach combing.  Ritual summer's end camping at New Brighton.  Early family visits to Manresa and Twin Lakes before I actually knew the names.  Sharing that ocean love with my boys.  I've often said I love the beach in the winter because no one else is there, but the truth is I love it in all seasons.

I am also inspired and rejuvenated by the peacefulness of the natural environment I live in. You will see symbols in my art reflecting the power and strength of trees; the balance of my family’s creek-pond-forest-pasture ecosystem; and the beauty of nature changing through the seasons.
